Hospitals must store enough water to cover 3 days of consumption, typically in concrete or Glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) tanks. Separate water supply lines are required for drinking water taps and fountains. Adequate provisions for high-flow water pressure and hot water supply are also necessary. The hospital’s sanitary fittings must prevent infections, while an effective drainage system is essential, ensuring proper disposal of effluent.
