In hospital projects, assessing power requirements is vital for operating equipment, air-conditioning plants, lighting, etc. Power sources include Primary Power Supply (PPS), Secondary Power Supply (SPS), and Tertiary Power Supply (TPS). HT line power is converted to LT through transformers. Hospital’s main LT cum synchronization panel connects power from transformers or Diesel Generators. Capacitor Panels improve Power Factor. Individual floor panels supply power to distribution boards, which then power terminal points. Radiator cooled Silent Diesel Generators offer secondary power backup. UPS systems provide power to emergency lighting and critical units. Earthing and lightning arrestors protect the hospital. Illumination levels vary in different areas.
