HVAC (Air-Conditioning) System
摘要
In a hospital, HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems are more complex than in regular commercial buildings. They play a crucial role in providing a comfortable, germ-free environment to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain the proper functioning of sensitive medical equipment. Two HVAC options are used: (1) Central Water Chilled Plant, which chills water via central chillers and circulates it to cool air before distributing it through ducts and diffusers, and (2) DX Chilling, where refrigerant circulates directly to cool the air in the AHU. Different hospital spaces require specific temperature and humidity levels, demanding careful design and attention to air control.
