Laundry infrastructure includes various areas like dirty receipt, washing, ironing, and packing. Adequate supply of hot and cold water, drainage, power, and steam boilers (if required) should be provided. The laundry should be located in the hospital’s service area, with easy access to loading docks. Its size depends on the hospital’s capacity, daily linen load, and laundry equipment to be installed. The goal is to maintain a seamless linen supply for all hospital departments.
