Piped Medical Gas Supply System (MGPS)

Medical gases play a vital role in hospital support services, collectively known as Medical Gas Pipe Supply (MGPS). These gases, such as oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and medical vacuum, are sourced from various systems like bulky setups, manifold systems, central plants, and generators. Copper pipeline distribution networks transport these gases throughout the hospital to terminal units. The MGPS design considers current and future needs, encompassing spaces for liquid oxygen tanks, manifold rooms, plant rooms, medical gas control rooms, and public utilities. Ideally, MGPS systems are located outside the hospital building to ensure efficient gas supply.
