摘要

Smart health care presents a promising application of IoT technology in the healthcare sector. Particularly during outbreaks of infectious diseases like Covid-19, dengue fever, and measles, healthcare services face overwhelming demands. To address this, the MED-H system has been developed as a solution for remote health monitoring using wearable devices. By automating the patient monitoring process, MED-H aims to alleviate the burden on medical staff. The system collects vital health indicators from patients and transmits them to a team of doctors in real time. It employs medical rulesets created by experts to analyze and alert healthcare professionals. This enables doctors to remotely monitor patients and provide timely interventions. MED-H is currently deployed for diseases such as Covid-19 and dengue fever. Technologies like mobile apps, wearables, and web apps are utilized in the software development process. The data system is stored and processed on a cloud computing platform. Initial testing of MED-H on a limited number of volunteers has yielded promising results. Future plans include expanding the trial and incorporating rule sets developed by medical professionals for a broader range of diseases.
