IoT and Big Data Analytics for Smart Healthcare 4.0 Applications

Industry 4.0 or I4.0-enabled technologies are observed to bring revolutionary effects in various E-services as well as production systems to increase efficiency, cost efficacy, consistency, superiority, and tractability. I4.0-enabled Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data Analytics (BDA), fog computing, and cloud computing technologies are revolutionizing healthcare ecosystems and propelling it toward Healthcare 4.0. This enables surgeons to obtain real-time data for their patients from a distance through wireless communication. Healthcare 4.0 is built on new technologies to provide people with enhanced and valued healthcare services. Healthcare 4.0 will extremely influence Healthcare System Engineering (HCSE), which combines engineering study and plan moralities to improve healthcare services. This work presents a systematic survey on the impact of various I4.0-related technologies on the health domain and its role in the fulfillment of traditional services. The contribution to the transformation of the healthcare system into Healthcare 4.0 by the I4.0 empowered technologies or I4.0 technical pillars (IoT and BDA) is discussed. Furthermore, we have discussed IoT security use cases and the computational infrastructure of BDA, along with various applications of Healthcare 4.0.
