A Home LPM System Based on WSN

The past decade has seen intensive research efforts to control electrical power consumption, reduce electrical overruns and wastes, and frequent consumption in residential areas using electronic and smart metrics. Energy consumption management has become a global concern, particularly with increasing reliance on electricity worldwide. Efficient energy management in wireless sensor networks is critical to its useful advantages as it can collect and transmit data over long distances and is cheap. As energy demand continues to rise, especially in developing cities, managing energy loads through wireless sensing networks has been considered a better solution. This article comprehensively reviews the latest developments in home energy management systems, showcasing the feasibility of wireless sensor network technologies. The use of distributed computing systems, smart meters, load-shedding algorithms, and home energy management systems has shown promising results in achieving these objectives. Furthermore, the article identifies gaps in current papers and possible directions for future research in this area. The reviewed papers are considered for the period between (2019 and 2023).
