Purpose—The purpose of this paper is to help increase the knowledge of mobile applications, increase awareness of smartphone applications, and find out the issues and challenges faced by library members. Design/Methodology, and Approach—A total of 126 Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) students and faculty randomly participated in this study at the Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Himachal Pradesh, Solan. A survey was used to assemble primary data through a questionnaire. Findings—The finding of the study revealed that the student’s maximum students are aware of the Smartphone application but not having a thorough insight. The study revealed that the major issue and challenges in the use of mobile applications are the lack of awareness, mobile memory space, etc. Originality/Value—The paper explains the overview of the Environment related application, their use, awareness, issue, and challenges to using these applications.
