Very few assistive technologies currently exist to enhance the cognitive development of hearing impaired (HI) people. Most of the employed techniques are devoted toward vocabulary knowledge acquirement in the hearing impaired. Further, it is found that most school libraries are ill-equipped to handle the HI students also it is found that adequate resources and assistive technologies are not available to support HI students. Therefore, there is an urgent need to create video libraries specifically designed for HI students to gain health and medical-related knowledge. Thus here, we have aimed to bring in a new framework through Indian Sign Language (ISL) in order to develop the cognition of the HI regarding gaining knowledge of medical science and bring them at par with normal-hearing students. This assistive technology and its resources can be an important addition to the library for supporting HI students. The research work described here consists of two parts. The objective of the first one is to establish the different components of areas of medical science in ISL and the second part is to find out the usefulness of the app through statistical analysis.
