Dr. S. R. Ranganathan has given five laws of librarianship. The laws have stood the test of time despite the influx of revolutionary technologies growing continuously, resulting in a vast information overflow in society. In this paper, the author has tried to highlight the need for innovations in the Library Information Centres (LICs) using varied information communication technologies (ICT) and web tools. Mobile devices and applications are now widely employed in the fields of education and library services because of advancements in ICTs. Gadgets like smartphones, tablets, and e-book readers instantly connect users to the outside world. Most importantly the paper highlights the application of mobile technology and QR code technology in providing information services in LICs innovatively. The author tries to showcase certain cutting-edge technology for efficient library and information services in the post-Covid-19 period. The process of accessing information becomes very simple via mobile devices and QR codes, etc. It is also economical and effective. Such technologies significantly affected learning by giving libraries a rich, collaborative, and conversational experience which was very helpful during Covid pandemic. The author in this paper explains the structure of QR codes and their application in LICs. It is a case study of Vivekananda College (University of Delhi). The author concluded that QR code is a useful tool for innovative information services to reach tech-savvy patrons in the college.
