Information is the key to any undiscovered arena and its importance can be exaggerated unlimitedly. Humans with the appropriate information at the appropriate time are the ones who have always led the world. Information-seeking behavior is the activity of a person from understanding the information needs to searching and finally acquiring it. The present study was conducted to understand the information-seeking behavior of the students and scholars of NIT, Agartala. A questionnaire was distributed online randomly to the students and a total of 174 responses were received which were analyzed to conclude the findings. After analyzing the data it was found that the respondents accessed the library materials mostly by self-search (69%); 44.25% visited the library for reading books and other materials; 54.6% preferred print resources over e-resources; 37.9% used e-resources for reading books and other materials; 53.4% used internet/web as information channels; subject search (40.8%) is the preferred search method, 33.91% were more aware of McGraw Hill database, 86.2% respondents did not get any training on accessing and using the electronic database for searching information and 40.8% faced the problem of lack of internet.
