The current paper attempts to give a different look at plagiarism in the light of digital information. Different issues surrounding plagiarism were highlighted and possible solutions were formulated. It is a commonplace nowadays that, different researchers blame plagiarists without taking into account the economic and social aspects of the anti-plagiarism software developers. For anti-plagiarism software developers, they try to develop algorithms that can maximize detecting the plagiarized texts without proper acknowledgment. This gives rise to developing several anti-plagiarism software in large quantities without slackening in their pace. However, from the wealth of reviews consulted, it is clear that, the attention of anti-plagiarism software developers derailed from including other actors in the circle of plagiarism rather going by the circumferential circling neglecting the center. This study tries to raise awareness on using social types in influencing the behavior of students in informal settings before joining academic environments. The study concludes that, plagiarism should be a taught topic to family members and a significant theme to discuss by the social institutions in addition to academic community.
