Adaptive Immunity and Immune Control
摘要
Adaptive immunity, also known as acquired immunity, is the specific immunity formed by antibodies and effector T cells produced by the immune system in response to antigenic stimulation. In the process of adaptive immune response, the immune system exhibits the characteristics of specific immune recognition and memory. Involved in this process are T cells, B cells, and antigen-presenting cells as well as various types of cytokines. Immune control is a preventive or therapeutic measure (e.g. vaccination or use of immunological preparations) against an epidemic using immunological methods.
