Prioritization of Maintenance Repair Overhaul Capabilities Development for Military Aviation

Maintenance, repair and overhaul stations (MROs) mainly provide maintenance services to commercial markets. However, the Covid 19 demonstrate that the military market in South America is a good opportunity for MROs. The objective of this paper is to develop a methodology to prioritize the development of MRO station capabilities for military aircrafts. The information from an MRO in Ecuador is used for this analysis. With this research it is expected to provide an alternative for the development of programs that improve the performance of maintenance organizations. This can contribute to decision-making through methodological tools and data analysis that make it possible to identify, prioritize and manage the resources necessary to provide aeronautical services.
