Additionally, contaminated soil poses health risks, with pollutants being absorbed by plants and entering the human body through the food chain. Several solutions can be implemented to address soil pollution. Responsible agricultural practices, such as organic farming and agroforestry, reduce agrochemical use and promote soil health. Soil remediation technologies, such as bioremediation and phytoremediation, use natural processes to remove pollutants from the soil. Effective waste management practices, like recycling and composting, prevent hazardous materials from accumulating in landfills and leaching into the soil. Soil monitoring, regulation, and awareness campaigns are essential for prevention and control.
