Characterization of Quartz–Cyanate Ester Composites Fabricated by RTM

Cyanate ester resins are a unique class of thermosetting resin having superior properties, along with good processability. They can be processed by various techniques as per application requirements. In this work, composite laminates were prepared using cyanate ester resin with quartz fabric reinforcement, by resin transfer moulding (RTM) technique. The cured laminates were characterized for their physical thermal, mechanical and dielectric properties, and the effect of post curing on these properties was evaluated.
