Digital transformation refers to the systematic and holistic transformation and upgrading of enterprises to adapt to the digital economy environment. This paper explores the whole-life-cycle engineering cost management scheme for subway projects in the context of digital transformation. The paper adopts blockchain and BIM technology as the main supporting tools for the scheme. The paper discusses the theoretical basis, application exploration, and empirical analysis of the scheme and summarizes the main conclusions, innovation points, shortcomings, and future research directions. The paper has theoretical significance and practical value for promoting the digital transformation of the construction engineering industry, exploring how blockchain enhances whole-life-cycle engineering cost management, improving the level of engineering cost management, and facilitating the energy savings, emission reduction and sustainable development of subway projects.
