摘要

The horrific experience of sexual abuse can have negative long-term impacts on a person’s physical and mental health. Physical, emotional, verbal, and sexual exploitation are just a few of its various manifestations. In order to address the problem and stop it from happening, it is essential to recognize the symptoms of sexual abuse. Common indicators of sexual abuse include changes in behavior, mood swings, physical symptoms, difficulty sleeping or eating, avoidance of certain people or situations, fear, anxiety, depression, and self-harm. Victims of sexual abuse may also exhibit signs of trauma such as dissociation, flashbacks, and difficulty forming relationships. It is essential to seek help if you suspect someone is being sexually abused or if you have been a victim of sexual abuse yourself. Resources such as hotlines, support groups, and counseling services are available to help individuals who have experienced sexual abuse. By raising awareness and educating the public on the types and signs of sexual abuse, we can work towards creating safer and healthier communities for everyone.
