National Organizations on Child Sexual Abuse in India
摘要
Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a serious and ongoing issue in India, as it is in the rest of the globe. Traumatic sexual abuse can cause mental and emotional problems that many children and teens may be able to overcome, as well as developmental disabilities. When sexual abuse is not reported, and children do not receive essential safety and therapeutic treatment, they suffer in silence. This chapter provides information on institutes in India that help children who have been sexually assaulted heal from their trauma. These groups encourage mental and emotional well-being by offering therapy sessions. The Rahi Foundation, Rati Foundation, UNICEF India, and CHILDLINE India Foundation are national organizations that help child abuse survivors restore their mental health. These organizations run a number of initiatives across the world to raise awareness of child sexual abuse. They each have their own set of aims and objectives, which encourage survivors to approach these groups for help. These clubs are child-friendly and provide seminars, training sessions, and educational initiatives to increase awareness and preventive action against child sexual abuse. In this chapter, a few government acts are also discussed. Government steps to combat child sexual abuse include the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and NCPCR. Furthermore, the World Health Organization (WHO) is critical to preventing child sexual abuse. They provide various clinical suggestions for sex abuse victims who are youngsters or teenagers.
