摘要

Molestation of a child by an older person is considered sexual assault of an infant. It constitutes sexual assault. If an infant or mature individual has sex with another child or mature adult, there is a possibility that some of the behavior may be innocent exploration rather than abuse. This may cause serious developmental problems in their later stages of life. The trauma suffered by the victims of child abuse may lead to them developing mild to severe psychological imbalances and developmental disturbances including depression as well as delayed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or complex PTSD making the individual prone to severe nervousness and paranoia, and prone to physical injury due to assault and victimization in later stages of life.
