摘要

This report outlines the team’s recommendations for building a comprehensive new system of professional education. The first professional training was conducted in 2016, aiming to enhance trainers’ knowledge of and attitudes toward Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). In the training, a framework for developing the program was evaluated by Stufflebeam’s Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model. Teachers had developed research lessons focusing on developing students’ learning outcomes and enhancing their attitude toward ESD. Integrating ESD into lessons or education should include a mapping curriculum. A curriculum for a secondary teacher education program (biology: anatomy of invertebrates) at Bankeun Teacher College (BTC) in Lao PDR was mapped. The model used for mapping included essential questions, content, skill, and assessment. Respondents had to map, identify, connect, and integrate the curriculum with the requirements of biology curricula and demonstrate lessons based on the lesson study cycle. The evaluation of each activity showed that students gained an understanding of what makes invertebrates, especially insects, a unique part of the animal kingdom and how they constitute body systems. Students could introduce the many roles insects play in natural communities and identify relationships between insects and the environment.
