Design of Automatic Sliding Door System for Negative Pressure Isolation Room Modularization

Negative pressure isolation room had become a familiar word during COVID-19 epidemic. It had been shown that this facility had been an effective way of providing treatment areas during the pandemic without spreading it into the community or causing infection among medical workers. Our research had come up with the solution to upgrade a traditional negative pressure isolation room using container modularization. Furthermore, these containers are sepa-rated by automatic sliding doors system, which takes responsibility for providing moving ways inside the modules. To ensure the isolation room key specification, an interlock algorithm should be applied to these automatic sliding doors. This paper introduces the overall view of the current isolation room model and designs of the interlock system.
