Frontotemporal Dementia

Frontotemporal dementia is a heterogenous complex neurological disorder which encompasess cognitive, behavioural and motor symptoms. It is one of the common causes of young onset dementia, typically occurring before the age of 65 and frequently has positive family history. An illustrative case vignette is provided and clinical features, diagnostic guidelines and neuroimaging findings are discussed with brief note on genetics, molecular pathology, genotype phenotype correlations and patient management and future challenges.
