Optic Neuritis
摘要
A 21-year-old male presented to the emergency department with the history of rapidly progressive diminution of vision in his right eye associated with headache and pain with eye movement for 5 days. It was not associated with double vision, tingling, numbness, or weakness of his body parts. He did not give any history of preceding fever, rashes, joint pain, oral ulcers, or recent immunization. Best corrected visual acuity was 6/60 and 6/6 in right and left eye respectively with RAPD in the right eye. Rest of the anterior and posterior segment findings were normal. He was diagnosed as right optic neuritis and appropriate investigations were sent while starting treatment.
