Mössbauer Spectrometry of Antiferromagnetic Materials

Antiferromagnetic materials are of fundamental importance to understand the Heisenberg exchange, superexchange, antisymmetricAntisymmetric exchange, RKKY interaction, magnetic frustrationMagnetic frustration and exchange bias. The hyperfine parameters of antiferromagnetic Fe-oxides and Fe-oxy-hydroxides are reviewed as they are useful in the analysis of soil types, corrosion products, composite materials and impurities in materials. The capability of Mössbauer spectrometryMössbauer spectrometry in analyzing materials such as 1D, 2D and triangular lattice antiferromagnets is presented in this chapter.
