Object Computing: Functional Languages and Abstract Machines
摘要
This chapter illustrates the languages and computing environments in scalable, and therefore potentially complex, business solutions. Complexity as a possible crisis trigger, results from composite organizational structure, geographical rangeRange, business diversity, and a number of other mission-critical aspects. The function is cross-examined as a formal system phenomenon and a programming language construct. To facilitate the further narrative flow toward digital product development, abstract machines are considered. Although formally based on the previously introduced functional notations and languages, these are potentially scalable to enterprise object-based virtual computing environments, such as Oracle Java Virtual Machine and Microsoft Common Language Runtime.
