Soil Monitoring Robot for Precision Farming

IoT is a technique which involves both actuators and sensors with a connection to internet. IoT can be implemented in the field of agriculture to enhance its quality. Farming is the essential occupation of the country by which its economic status can be improved. But due to the existing technology in agriculture, the productivity is very less when compared to other countries in the world. Every year huge losses are faced by the farmers due to improper infestation of pesticides among crops and lack of suitable soil monitoring techniques. This paper suggests a soil monitoring robot which monitors and displays vital factors such as detection of leaf disease, PH sensing, ambient temperature, humidity and soil moisture sensing using various types of sensors instead of manual check. The farm situation will be notified to farmers using a mobile application.
