Comparative Analysis of Hardware and Software Utilization in the Implementation of 4-Bit Counter Using Different FPGAs Families

Various regions around the country are currently dealing with severe shortages of energy supply. The research and development of an energy-efficient 4-bit counter using the Vivado software platform and a number of FPGA families has advanced environmentally aware communication. This was accomplished by bringing together a variety of FPGA families. Genesys, Kintex, and Virtex are the three distinct FPGA families with seven distinct series for each. This was done in an effort to find the FPGA series that consumes the least amount of power overall. The Genesys, Kintex, and Virtex families each use power levels that are 3.863, 2.789, and 8.765, respectively. Comparing the temperatures of Genesys, Kintex, and Virtex, which are respectively 53.1, 71.1, and 70.2 °C. Using the Genesys family of 7 series of components rather than either of the other two families can result in a decrease in the amount of power that is lost due to dissipation, as specified in the instructions. Kintex has an energy efficiency that is comparable to that of other FPGA families.
