Sustainable Treatment of Contaminants of Emerging Concerns in Water and Wastewater

Contaminants of emergent concerns (CECs) are contaminants found in trace amounts in the environment that have not before been recognized and pose significant environmental and health hazards. Pharmaceutical and personal care items, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, disinfection by-products, and other CECs are among them.
