AI-Based Audiologist Assistance Using Data Logging for Customizing Hearing Aids

Data logging and audio classification is used to help customize hearing aids. It is a better way of assessing a user’s hearing experience as it is based on the information collected directly from the environment rather than self-reporting by the user. The environmental noise is collected in the form of decibel and frequency and is analyzed. With the help of ESC-50 dataset, a classifier for environmental sound has been built using a CNN model with 80% accuracy. With this information, it becomes easy for the audiologist to analyze the environment of the user with precision.
