Secure Crime Investigation Data with AWS Service

This paper introduces a new framework for investigating digital forensics (DF) using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and social systems. The framework is designed to ensure the authenticity, immutability, traceability, resilience, and distributed trust of evidence items and examiners. To achieve this, a block-enabled forensics framework is proposed, which can provide proof of existence and privacy preservation for evidence items examination. The DF framework allows for the identification, preservation, analysis, and presentation of evidence, which is recorded to ensure traceability and track provenance. The transparency of the audit trail provided by the DF framework increases trust in both the evidence items and examiners.
