Discussion and Conclusion

This chapter provides an overview of the book and summarize the policy implications which are based on the empirical analysis of the study. Implications for access to basic urban public services, social security and the solidification of migrants’ identity, and implications for integrating the social insurance systems for urban and rural residents and urban employees are particularly discussed in this chapter. The importance of this study and the extra care needed to support the migrants are re-emphasized.
