The Methodology and Methods of the Research

A qualitative approach was adopted as the research method to understand the health constraints and access to health services among rural–urban migrants. In this chapter, the rationale for the application of qualitative methods is discussed. Following this, the discussion turns to more detailed methodological issues such as research design, sampling and gaining access to interviewees, the concrete process of interviewing, the challenges of conducting interviews, ethical considerations, and data analysisData analysis.
