摘要

Rainfall has a huge impact on the lives of people, especially in a country like India where the economy is based on the amount of rainfall received throughout the year. In India, majority of the rainfall is received during the monsoon, a period of about 2–3 months, spanning from June to late September depending on the region. Even today, agriculture is the field where more than 50% of India’s population is engaged directly or indirectly. It is important to study the rainfall patterns for better planning and resource management. Data visualization greatly helps in identifying the patterns and exceptions in large amounts of data. This study aims to visualize the yearly rainfall of different states of India from the year 1901 to 2015.
