S-Decorated NiMoO4 Nanomaterial Heterostructure for Enhanced Hydrogen Generation
摘要
Designing highly efficient and economic feasible electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is desired to generate green H2 through electrocatalytic water splitting. Herein, a partially S-decoration process. The resulting hierarchical nanostructure with outer Ni3S2/MoS2 nanosheets shell and the inner NiMoO4 core provide higher electrochemical surface area, more efficient active sites and massive charge transfer channels in NiMoO4 nanomaterial heterostructure is successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal-sulfurizat the heterojunction interface. Accordingly, the Ni3S2/MoS2@ NiMoO4 exhibits low overpotentials to enable 10 mA/cm2 current density for superior HER performance in 1 M KOH solution. This work offers a novel understanding of the synergistic effect based on the heterojunction interface synergism and provides a rational strategy for designing electrocatalysts with superior efficiency for water splitting, inspiring the development of low-cost noble metal free nanomaterials in H2 generation area.
