Research Progress and Analysis of Production Process Methods for Cryo-Compressed Hydrogen

Nowadays the world is faced with the increasingly serious energy crisis and environmental pollution, and it is urgent for people to develop new clean and economic energy. Hydrogen energy is regarded as an important secondary energy because of its clean combustion products, high combustion efficiency, renewable and other advantages. With the gradual improvement of the technical level of hydrogen preparation, storage, transportation, supply and use, the promotion and utilization of hydrogen energy has become an important choice for the utilization of new energy in the civil field. Cryo-compressed has attracted attention recently. Its high volume and weight hydrogen storage density can solve the demand of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for long-distance driving, and it is considered as a physical hydrogen storage method with a very promising application prospect. This paper mainly summarizes the development of cryo-compressed hydrogen. Two processes of cryo-compressed hydrogen preparation designed independently were theoretically analyzed, and the energy consumption of the two processes was analyzed to determine an economical and efficient preparation method.
