The Power of Pricing: Field Experiments in Kitakyushu City

This chapter reports on the case of the Kitakyushu City Experiment, which examined the effects of dynamic pricing by varying prices at four levels. When the peak-hour prices rise from 50 to 150 yen/kWh, the peak cut effects increase from 9 to 15%.
