Cardiac Responses to Inactive and Active Recovery
摘要
When we perform muscular exercises, the active muscles are supplied with increased oxygen, nutrients, and chemical substances by the circulation. These essential substances are sufficiently transported with an increase in blood flow and are regulated by the cardiovascular system. The increase in muscle blood flow is due to an increase in cardiac output that is accompanied with an increase in venous return of blood to the heart. The increase in muscle blood flow is also associated with the redistribution of a large volume of blood from inactive muscles and splanchnic regions to active muscles during exercise.
