Infectious Disease and Deep Mycosis

Infectious diseases are a group of diseases caused by pathogenic organisms and can be epidemic among certain population. In 1999 WHO (World Health Organization) report, infectious diseases are currently the world’s biggest killer of children and young adults. They account for more than 13 million deaths a year, which is half of all deaths in developing countries. In developed countries, infectious disease also plays an important role in morbidity and mortality, secondary to noninfectious diseases, such as atherosclerosis, cancer, and senile dementia [1]. In recent years, due to the application of gene diagnosis technique and effective antibiotic, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases have been improved.
