摘要

In recent years, with the continuous development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the continuous improvement of industry-academia-research collaboration mechanisms, AI has gradually played a role in various aspects of the entire medical imaging workflow. The role of AI can be observed in various stages before, during, and after an examination, including improving the process of image examination, automatic delineation of radiation therapy targets and organs at risk, optimization of image quality, structured reporting, medical imaging quality control and management, clinical applications of contrast agent AI, and Internet-based applications for basic services. These contributions have been significant, and the enormous potential of AI is also highlighted in the patient-centred personalized diagnosis and treatment process. At the end of 2022, Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer (ChatGPT) emerged as a new tool for medical imaging AI development and application. Currently, research on ChatGPT in medical imaging AI is in full swing and will surely provide a new impetus to future development. Utilizing AI’s perception and cognitive properties to process medical images, mine their important information, and analyse them can change existing workflows and improve the efficiency of radiologists. Through the continuous deepening of medical and engineering exchanges and cooperation, the application of AI in optimizing the medical imaging workflow is continuously maturing, demonstrating enormous potential for development.
