Standardization of AI Products for Medical Imaging Processing

Currently, artificial intelligence standardization is being given intensive attention and support in China. In 2021, national guidelines for standardization development were published and emphasized standard research in key technology areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), quantum information and biotechnology. Additionally, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China (SAC) published an announcement to develop high-quality standards on medical devices, which highlighted the acceleration of active medical standard research, such as medical robots, AI, active implants, medical software, 5G+ industrial networks and multidisciplinary products. Encouraged by such policies, artificial intelligence medical device (AIMD) standardization in China has made significant progress.
