Big Data in Artificial Intelligence Medical Imaging
摘要
Data are the core of all elements of AI technology, and their scale and quality serve as the basis of effective AI systems. Artificial intelligence is based on data. AI without data is akin to building castles in the air or making bricks without straw. In other words, artificial intelligence is the intelligent processing, interpretation, and determination of data. In medical imaging, artificial intelligence technology is applied to provide an auxiliary analysis of the entire clinical diagnosis and treatment path. In addition, AI technology processes the imaging steps of imaging equipment, enhancing both clinical scenarios and equipment performance and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of diagnosis and treatment along the medical imaging chain. For example, in the process of diagnosis and treatment, the diagnostic accuracies of models for specific diseases, the target delineation efficiency of radiotherapy, and image prompts and interpretation should be improved, the positioning time during the examination process should be shortened, and the radiation dose of the equipment and the amounts of image noise and artefacts should be reduced. These successful applications have made medical imaging AI the most successful and extensive application scenario in the field of medical artificial intelligence. Academic achievements and commercial products are constantly emerging, and an important basis is the availability of large-scale, standardized, and clinical consensus annotation and data adapted to clinical scenarios. The process of generating, collecting, pooling, and processing these data fundamentally determines the ultimate depth and effectiveness of AI.
