Optimization of İrrigation Systems’ Water Resource Distribution in Conditions of Scarcity Using Evolutionary Algorithms

摘要

Scientific approaches to the use of evolutionary genetic algorithms in the optimization of water resource distribution in the management of irrigation systems are presented. The research was carried out on the Gorodishchenskaya irrigation system, for the arid conditions of the Volgograd region, typical for the South of Russia. The methodological basis of the research was system, comparative, heuristic, and mathematical-statistical approaches, as well as optimization theory using an evolutionary genetic algorithm. Methodological approaches to the application of a genetic algorithm for optimizing a multi-criteria objective function are considered. Testing of the developed model on the data of the Gorodishchenskaya irrigation system showed the possibility of increasing agricultural production to 78.8 thousand rubles/ha. This result is achieved by improving the quality of planning and management of water distribution in conditions of water scarcity.
