Tillage can be defined as the act of changing the soil’s condition to ensure it becomes conducive for the growth of crops whereas soil tilth is a physical condition of soil, especially in relation to its suitability for planting or growing a crop. Tillage frequency depends upon texture of soil. However, tillage depth depends on crop, type of soil, and time of tillage.
