摘要

The vehicular registration and maintenance process in India is marred by several inefficiencies, leading to fraudulent activities. An effective solution can be found with the use of blockchain technology, which offers transparency, security, and efficiency. This study suggests the implementation of a car registration system supported by blockchain mechanisms that make sure vehicle tracking, transfer of ownership, and upkeep records remain secure and transparent. The projected benefits include reduced costs, augmented recordkeeping accuracy, and enhanced trust between stakeholders. With its ability to create a secure and transparent ledger of data, blockchain holds great promise for improving the often opaque process of vehicle registration in India. Yet despite its many benefits, we argue that blockchain’s implementation will require addressing significant challenges unique to its adoption into this particular domain. Among these challenges are technical complexities such as scalability issues and regulatory concerns posing potential roadblocks for full-scale adoption ultimately leading to a more efficient and secure automotive industry.
