Introduction
摘要
This chapter intends to introduce terminologies and symbols that will be used to design Francis turbine in later chapters. General terms and the corresponding symbols related to the velocity triangles of turbomachinery blades are introduced with their application in hydraulic turbines. Some basic concepts of the hydropower turbines, their history, and recent studies have been discussed.
