Study of Diffraction Results of Some Cubic Crystals

  • M. A. Wahab

摘要

In earlier chapters, we studied about the mirror as the only fundamental symmetry in crystalline solid because all other symmetries can be easily derived from suitable combinations of mirrors. We also studied the geometry of crystal lattices in the primitive forms of Wigner–Seitz cells and Brillouin zones, respectively in direct and reciprocal spaces (they perfectly represent the mirror combination scheme), importance of the intimate relationships that exists between the reciprocal of d-spacing and the Braggs’ angle and its use in understanding the diffraction results.
