Development of Digital Heritage for Archaeovisit Tourism Resilience: Evidences from E-Lenggong Web Portal

This article aims to examine the importance of the e-Lenggong Heritage Site web portal to the development of archaeology-tourism at the Lenggong world heritage site, Perak, Malaysia, in post-COVID-19. This is important because the development of archaeology-tourism at the world heritage site (UNESCO) Lenggong was severely affected following the threat of the COVID-19 virus in 2020–2022. This study involved 368 tourists who were selected through simple random sampling. Questionnaire instruments were used to obtain feedback including the background of the respondents, the facilities at the Lenggong world heritage site (UNESCO), the facilities of the Lenggong website and post-COVID-19 marketing and promotion. The results of the study show that the facilities at the world heritage site (UNESCO) Lenggong are at a satisfactory level, with the majority of respondents agreeing and neutral. While for the convenience of the Lenggong website, it showed a very satisfactory level, which means that the majority of respondents answered in agreement, as well as marketing and promotion after COVID-19. This shows that the facilities at the world heritage site (UNESCO) Lenggong as a whole are at a satisfactory level considering the position of this heritage site in a rural area and a museum/gallery that is still in the process of renovation.
