Voluntary Turnover Prediction System for Tourism Industry with Special Reference to Hotel Industry in Sri Lanka
摘要
The hotel industry in Sri Lanka is facing a key challenge in retaining their lower-level employees due to the high rate of voluntary turnover. As these employees play a significant role in providing quality services and directly interacting with customers, voluntary turnover can have a negative impact on the success of hotel operations. Despite the efforts put forth by hotels to implement retention measures, factors such as job dissatisfaction and inadequate economic compensations continue to contribute towards the high turnover rate. This study explores these contributing elements and evaluates solutions proposed in existing literature. In response, this research aims to design and develop a software solution which provides turnover predictions, possible retention period, identifies potential turnover drivers and offers recommendations to mitigate them with an individual employee focus.
